Stock Has Landed 🛬
Week 36 - Stock has arrived
Hi everyone, Dan here.
This feels a bit surreal writing this, honestly.
I’ve been sitting here trying to work out what to say, but I mainly just want to share how happy I am to finally start building AegisGear into something real. Something that actually connects with the community and hopefully earns its place in it.
I also want to say thank you. To everyone I’ve spoken to so far, and everyone who’s given feedback or encouragement. It’s genuinely meant a lot.
Why I started AegisGear
Late last year I started looking at storage options for the hobby and just kept running into the same problem.
Everything that felt proper or premium was expensive. Too expensive for what most of us actually need just to store and transport minis.
You’d see it across places like Amazon and eBay, and even within hobby spaces, and it just felt like there was a gap. A lot of people were either paying over the odds or just making do with things like Really Useful Boxes which I’ve used myself.
They work. But the feedback I kept hearing and agreed with was that people wanted something better, but not at a price that eats into their hobby budget.
And I get that. Most of us would rather spend that money on models, paints, or just getting more games in.
Staying grounded
Like a lot of people in this hobby, I work full time and fit tabletop gaming around everything else.
AegisGear is something I’m building alongside that, not above it. And I want it to stay that way. I don’t want it to lose touch with the people it’s actually for.
AegisVault is here
With that said, I’m really happy to say that AegisVault stock has now landed.
This is the first proper release, and it feels good to finally have it out there.
Community competition
To mark the first batch, I wanted to do something simple for the community.
Inside the first run of AegisVault there’s a small challenge.
If you want to take part:
- Put your minis in the AegisVault
- Post a photo on Facebook or Instagram
- Tag us so we can see your entry
I’ll pick the most creative entry to win a Warhammer 11th Edition Armageddon boxset.
I’ll choose a winner either when the first batch sells out or by the end of August, whichever happens first.
Final thoughts
I’d really like this to stay open and community driven, so I’d genuinely welcome any feedback or ideas on how things can be improved.
And more than anything, I’d love to see what you’re all working on, your armies, your paint jobs, how you’re using the Vault, all of it.
Tag us, message us, send it over, I do look at everything. Even at 2am... much to my detriment.
I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
Dan
