🛠️ From Tables to Transport: Finding the Perfect Fit

Week 2 — The next chapter in the AegisGear story

If you’ve ever been to a gaming event, you’ll know the feeling — rows of tables stretching as far as you can see, the buzz of dice rolling, and the unmistakable mix of excitement, heat, and slightly fresh paint in the air.

For me, that moment happened at a doubles tournament in Nottingham, playing alongside the same friend I started the hobby with years ago. We were nervous, excited, and completely unsure what to expect — but still somehow convinced we could win the whole damn thing.

As the weekend went on, and the sting of two straight defeats (and one glorious win!) began to fade, I started to notice something. Every player had their own way of bringing their armies to battle — from premium carry cases to foam trays, toolboxes, and even cardboard boxes.

And then there was me, proudly rocking my stack of plastic containers. 😅

It worked… mostly.

Unfortunately, like at every great tournament, I was too caught up in the games to take any photos. So instead, here are some shots from later games at my local club — where I lost just as often, but had just as much fun.

Still, I couldn’t shake one thought:

There has to be a better way

🧩 The Search for Quality

Fast forward to today, and that thought has grown into a mission.

This week has been about seeking the right manufacturing partner. Someone who understands that what we carry isn’t just plastic and paint, but hours of passion and creativity.

Finding that perfect fit isn’t easy.
I’ve spent hours comparing samples, checking materials, weighing up quality versus cost.
It’s a balancing act but one I’m determined to get right.

Because AegisGear isn’t just another case. It’s a commitment to the community that inspired it.

🛡️ Built for Hobbyists

AegisGear started at those same tournament tables, surrounded by the people and models that make this hobby what it is.

Every design choice, every material, every latch will come from that experience.

I know what it’s like to see your favourite miniature take a tumble.

I know the pride of painting until 2 a.m. before an event.

And I know the frustration of carrying your army in something that doesn’t do it justice.

That’s why I’m putting everything into making sure the final AegisGear product is worth the wait.

⚙️ Next Week: The First Sample

The next chapter is a big one the first prototype is officially on its way.

I’ll be testing, reviewing, and sharing every detail the good, the bad, and the “back to the drawing board” moments.

Because this brand isn’t built behind closed doors it’s built with you.

Stay tuned.
